WA Standard Number Plate Brackets & Mounting

372 x 134mm, front and rear. A standard Western Australian plate is 372mm wide by 134mm high — the full-size format issued with most vehicle licences. Both ends of the car run the same size, so you buy two identical brackets rather than a matched pair.

Check it's standard and not slimline. WA slimline is also 372mm wide. Height is the only difference: 134mm for standard, 100mm for slimline. Measure the height, because width won't tell you anything.

In WA, properly attached plates are your responsibility. Transport WA is explicit about it — under the Road Traffic (Vehicles) Regulations 2014, keeping your plates properly attached and clearly visible falls on whoever is responsible for the vehicle. A factory clip that's worked loose over a few Perth summers stops being the dealer's problem the day you drive off the lot.

Aluminium, not plastic. Every FLX mount is CNC-lasered from high-grade aluminium and anodised black, holding the plate flat and square where a moulded plastic surround flexes, fades and eventually cracks. It fits your car's existing factory mounting points — nothing drilled into the plate, nothing drilled into the bumper — with black stainless hardware included.

Measure the height. Both are 372mm wide, so width is no help. Standard is 134mm, slimline is 100mm.
One bracket holds one plate. WA requires plates front and rear on cars, and since standard is the same size at both ends, that's two identical brackets.
Yes. Transport WA sets out that under the Road Traffic (Vehicles) Regulations 2014, it's the responsibility of the person responsible for the vehicle to keep plates properly attached and clearly visible. A loose or crooked plate isn't only a cosmetic issue.
No. FLX mounts use your vehicle's existing factory mounting points and the holes already in the plate from manufacture. Nothing gets drilled, which keeps the panel clean and your resale value intact.
