QLD JDM Plate Brackets & Mounting

A JDM plate isn't a standard plate. Queensland issues JDM plates through PPQ — a Japanese-market design on a legally registered Queensland plate, running a combination of three letters and two numbers in cast aluminium. It's the detail that finishes an import build, and it doesn't share dimensions with the standard Queensland format.

That's exactly where people get caught. A JDM plate is a different size to the 372 x 134mm plate most Queensland cars wear, so the bracket that came with the car won't hold it square. Wrong mount, and the plate sits off-centre with the hardware doing the talking.

Built around import bumpers. Japanese imports arrive with a plate recess designed for the Japanese format — narrower and taller than anything issued here. Force a full-width Australian plate into it and you get overhang at both edges and a plate that never sits flat. The right plate and a mount cut to match drop into the recess the way the factory intended.

Aluminium, not plastic. Every FLX mount is CNC-lasered from high-grade aluminium and anodised black, fitted using your car's existing factory mounting points. No drilling the plate, no new holes in the bumper, black stainless hardware included.

FLX — Precision Built. Melbourne Made.
A Japanese Domestic Market design issued through Personalised Plates Queensland on a legally registered Queensland plate. They run a combination of three letters and two numbers and are made from cast aluminium. They're a genuine registration plate, not a decorative one.
No. JDM plates are a different size to the 372 x 134mm standard Queensland format, so a standard mount leaves the plate sitting loose or off-centre. Check your plate's dimensions against the Fitment Guide before ordering.
Japanese vehicles are built around the Japanese plate format, which is narrower and taller than an Australian plate. The recess in the bumper is cut to those proportions, so a full-width Australian plate overhangs at both edges and can't sit flat. It's the single most common fitment complaint on imports.
No. FLX mounts use your vehicle's existing factory mounting points. Nothing is drilled into the plate or the panel, which keeps the bumper clean and protects resale — worth caring about on an import.
High-grade aluminium, CNC-lasered and anodised black. Queensland is hard on plastic mounts — UV and coastal salt air chalk, warp and crack them within a year or two.
