Vic Euro Number Plate Brackets & Mounting Solutions

What Are VIC Euro Plates?

Euro plates are the long, narrow plate format built to European dimensions rather than the standard Australian shape — designed to suit the plate recess on European-built cars (Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Volkswagen and similar). In Victoria, euro-style combinations start with the letter V, followed by 2–5 letters and then up to 3 numbers, and they're available in a full-size format as well as a shorter "mini" version.

Unlike most other Victorian plates, the standard-size euro plate doesn't come with pre-drilled mounting holes — it's designed to be fitted precisely to the vehicle rather than dropped into generic holes, which is exactly what a properly sized mount is for.

VIC Euro Plate Sizes

  • Standard euro — 520mm (w) x 112mm (h)
  • Mini euro — 372mm (w) x 100mm (h) — the same size as a 6-character slimline plate

The gap between these two sizes is large, so getting the right mount matters more here than on almost any other format — a standard euro plate on a mini-sized mount (or vice versa) simply won't sit right.

Mounting a Euro Plate Properly

A euro plate's whole appeal is the low, wide, "factory European" stance — which only works if the mount holds it flush, centred and dead level. FLX euro mounts are CNC-lasered from high-grade aluminium to the exact 520mm x 112mm standard size, so the plate sits flat with no flex or gap behind it. Because standard euro plates aren't pre-drilled, the mount does the precision work: it attaches to your vehicle's existing factory mounting points, with no drilling into the plate and no new holes in the bumper.

Running the mini euro size instead? It shares the slimline format, so check the slimline range if that's what your plate measures.

FAQ

What size is a standard Victorian euro plate?
520mm wide by 112mm high — noticeably longer and lower than a standard Australian plate, matching the European plate format.

What's the difference between standard euro and mini euro?
Standard euro is 520mm x 112mm. Mini euro is 372mm x 100mm — the same size as a 6-character slimline plate — and suits cars with a smaller plate recess.

Do euro plates come pre-drilled?
Standard-size euro plates typically don't come with pre-drilled mounting holes, unlike most other Victorian plate styles. A properly sized mount handles the fit without needing to drill into the plate itself.

Will a euro mount fit my car without drilling into the bumper?
Yes. FLX euro mounts attach using your vehicle's existing factory mounting points, so there's no need for new holes in the bumper.

How do I know which euro size my plate is?
Measure it — 520mm x 112mm is standard, 372mm x 100mm is mini. If you're unsure, get in touch before ordering and we'll help confirm which one you've got.
