TAS Standard Number Plate Brackets & Mounting Solutions

372 x 134mm — but check yours. A standard Tasmanian plate is 372mm wide by 134mm high, front and rear. The catch is that TasPlates prestige plates are listed at 372 x 130mm. Same state, same word on the label, four millimetres apart. On a mount cut to tight tolerance, four millimetres shows.

Measure the plate, not the paperwork. Nothing on your registration tells you which height you're holding, and the two are indistinguishable bolted to a bumper. Take a tape to the plate itself — width and height, in millimetres — and order to the measurement.

Older cars need this more, not less. Tasmania registers vehicles over thirty years old under the Special Interest scheme, and on a car that age the original plate mounts are usually long gone — brittle clips, stretched holes, screws seized into the panel. An aluminium mount that works off the existing points is a clean fix on a car you're trying to keep original.

Aluminium, not plastic. Every FLX mount is CNC-lasered from high-grade aluminium and anodised black, holding the plate flat and square where a moulded plastic surround flexes and eventually cracks. It fits your car's existing factory mounting points — nothing drilled into the plate, nothing drilled into the bumper — with black stainless hardware included.

FLX — Precision Built. Melbourne Made.
372mm wide by 134mm high — the full-size format run front and rear on most Tasmanian vehicles.
No. Regular standard plates are 372 x 134mm, but TasPlates prestige plates are listed at 372 x 130mm. Four millimetres, same state, and nothing on your paperwork distinguishes them. Measure before ordering.
No. Tasmanian slimline is 372 x 100mm against standard at 372 x 134mm. Same width, 34mm difference in height, so each needs a mount cut to its own size.
Yes — TasPlates offers standard and slimline in whatever front and rear combination you choose. If that's your setup you'll need two different brackets, one for each size.
No. FLX mounts use your vehicle's existing factory mounting points and the holes already in the plate. That matters most on older or Special Interest vehicles, where you don't want new holes in original panels.
