WA JDM Number Plate Brackets & Mounting

New to WA, and a genuine Japanese size. Plates WA released Japanese style plates in July 2025 — $495, up to six characters, in green on white, white on black or black on white. They measure 330mm wide by 165mm high, which is the authentic Japanese dimension rather than an Australian plate wearing Japanese styling.

That size is the whole problem. A standard Australian plate is 372mm x 134mm. A JDM plate is 42mm narrower and 31mm taller. Nothing already fitted to your car will hold it — not the factory surround, not a standard mount, not a slimline one. It needs a bracket cut to the Japanese format.

It's a tradeable asset, not just a look. WA Japanese plates are optional plates, which means you hold the right to display or trade them, and they can be remade if lost, stolen or damaged. At $495 that's worth protecting properly rather than drilling holes through or sticking tape to.

Aluminium, not plastic. FLX JDM mounts are CNC-lasered from high-grade aluminium and anodised black, cut to the 330 x 165mm Japanese format so the plate sits flat, square and fully supported. They fit your car's existing factory mounting points — nothing drilled into the plate, nothing drilled into the bumper — with black stainless hardware included.
