QLD Slimline Number Plate Brackets & Mounting

Read the full guide

Same width, different height. A Queensland slimline plate measures 372mm wide by 100mm high — identical in width to a standard QLD plate, just 34mm shorter. Small on paper, obvious on the car. The plate sits tight to the bumper line instead of dominating the front end.

That shared width is exactly what catches people out. A standard mount looks like it should work, then leaves the plate sitting loose in the frame with daylight above and below it. Slimline needs a mount cut to the slimline height, not a standard one you hope will do.

Measure before you order. Most Queensland vehicles run the six-character 372 x 100mm slimline. Personalised prestige slimline in a 3–4 character format is narrower at 291 x 100mm. Take a tape to the plate itself rather than going off the plate style name.

Built for Queensland conditions. Every FLX mount is CNC-lasered from high-grade aluminium and anodised black — it won't chalk, warp or crack the way moulded plastic does after a couple of summers up north or a season near the coast. Fits your car's existing factory mounting points, so there's no drilling into the plate and no new holes in the bumper.

Queensland slimline plates are 372mm wide by 100mm high — that's the six-character size the vast majority of QLD vehicles run. Personalised prestige slimline plates in a 3–4 character format measure 291mm x 100mm instead. Measure your plate and check the Fitment Guide before ordering.
No. Standard and slimline QLD plates share the same 372mm width, which is why people assume they're interchangeable — but a standard plate is 134mm high against slimline's 100mm. Mount a slimline plate in a standard housing and you get a 34mm gap, a plate that sits low, and rattle over rough road.
High-grade aluminium, CNC-lasered and anodised black. Queensland is hard on plastic mounts — UV and coastal salt air chalk, warp and crack them within a year or two. Aluminium holds its shape and finish.
One bracket holds one plate. Queensland requires plates front and rear on cars, so most orders are two.
No. FLX mounts use your vehicle's existing factory mounting points and the holes already in the plate from manufacture. Nothing gets drilled. If your plate has no holes, contact us before ordering.
