South Australia sells plates in pairs, and the pairs don't always match. EzyPlates issues slim plates as front and rear combinations rather than identical sets. A personalised slim pair runs 371 x 100mm at both ends. A Premium pair runs 371 x 83mm on the front against 371 x 106mm on the rear. There's even a slim front paired with a square 300 x 150mm rear.

So measure both plates, not one. Depending on which combination you ordered, your front and rear may be different sizes — which means two different brackets rather than a matching pair. It's the most common ordering mistake SA owners make.

South Australia measures 371mm, not 372mm. EzyPlates lists SA plates a millimetre narrower than the 372mm used across most other states. It sounds trivial, but on a low-profile plate the mount is visible around the full perimeter, and a millimetre of daylight shows.
