ACT Slimline Number Plate Brackets & Mounting Solutions

In the ACT, a slimline set isn't two slimline plates. Access Canberra is explicit about it — a slimline set consists of a slimline front and a standard rear. Your car runs two different plate formats by design, which means two different brackets rather than a matching pair.

Measure both ends of the car. The slimline front sits well under standard height while the rear runs the full size. Take a tape to each plate individually before ordering, because one measurement won't cover the car. It's the single most common ordering mistake ACT owners make.

Slimline comes with trade-offs already. Logos and slogans aren't available on ACT slimline plates, and GI Slimline sets can't be ordered as numeric plates or in plastic. If you've gone slimline, you've deliberately chosen a cleaner, plainer plate — which makes framing it in a bulky moulded surround a strange way to finish the job.

Aluminium, not plastic. FLX mounts are CNC-lasered from high-grade aluminium and anodised black, cut to the exact plate dimensions so it sits flat with no flex and nothing showing behind it. They fit your vehicle's existing factory mounting points and use the holes already in the plate from manufacture — nothing new drilled into either. Black stainless hardware included.

FLX — Precision Built. Melbourne Made.
No. Access Canberra issues a slimline set as a slimline front with a standard rear, so the two ends of your car run different formats. Measure each plate separately.
Yes. One cut to the slimline front size, one to the standard rear size. Ordering two identical brackets is the most common mistake we see from ACT customers.
The front is a low-profile slimline and the rear is full standard height, both on the same width. Measure both plates in millimetres before ordering rather than relying on the style name.
No. Access Canberra doesn't offer logos or slogans on slimline plates, and GI Slimline sets aren't available in plastic or as numeric plates.
Not in most cases. FLX mounts use your vehicle's existing factory mounting points and the holes already in the plate from manufacture. Nothing gets drilled into either.
