QLD Standard Number Plate Brackets & Mounting

Read the full guide

372 x 134mm — Queensland's full-size format. A standard QLD plate measures 372mm wide by 134mm high and carries six characters. Some older no-separator plates run a millimetre taller at 135mm. It's the plate the overwhelming majority of Queensland vehicles leave the dealership wearing.

Not sure whether yours is standard or slimline? Check the height, not the width. Both are 372mm wide — slimline drops to 100mm. That 34mm is the only thing separating them, and it decides which bracket you need.

Lose the dealer surround. Most Queensland cars roll off the lot with a plastic dealership frame bolted over the plate. Free advertising for someone else, a cheap finish, and it dates the car the moment you sell it. An FLX mount holds the plate flat against the bumper with no border, no branding and no bulk.

Aluminium, not plastic. Every mount is CNC-lasered from high-grade aluminium and anodised black, so it won't chalk, warp or crack through Queensland summers or a season near the coast. Fits your car's existing factory mounting points — no drilling the plate, no new holes in the bumper — with black stainless hardware included.

FLX — Precision Built. Melbourne Made.
372mm wide by 134mm high, carrying six characters. Some older no-separator plates measure 135mm high. Measure your plate before ordering rather than going off the plate style name.
Measure the height. Standard and slimline QLD plates are both 372mm wide, so width tells you nothing — a standard plate is 134mm high, slimline is 100mm. Get this wrong and the plate sits loose in the mount with a visible gap.
No. FLX mounts use your vehicle's existing factory mounting points and the holes already in the plate from manufacture. Nothing gets drilled, which keeps the panel clean and your resale value intact.
High-grade aluminium, CNC-lasered and anodised black. Queensland is hard on plastic mounts — UV and coastal salt air chalk, warp and crack them within a year or two. Aluminium holds its shape and its finish.
One bracket holds one plate. Queensland requires plates front and rear on cars, so most orders are two.
