Sale of the Week
VIC Heritage 130 — $534,990 all-in. A clean three-digit heritage plate clearing north of half a million. Numerics in the low triple digits remain the bluest of blue-chip Victorian plates, and 130 did exactly what that tier is supposed to do.
What It Tells You
The headline this week is what didn't trade. The three highest lots on Heritage Only's board — 96 at $1,333,000, 883 at $448,000 and 385 at $375,000 — all passed in. Buyers turned up; reserves sat higher. When a $1.33 million bid isn't enough to clear a single plate, you're not looking at a soft market — you're looking at sellers who expect more, not less.
Underneath that, the plates that did sell held strong: 130 at $534,990 and 510 at $347,219 anchored the top, with a healthy spread of numeric heritage through the low six figures. The signature end (OK and VO combinations) keeps ticking over at entry-level money — the on-ramp into the format.
